Who We Are
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar addresses the UN   Founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the Art of Living Foundation is an international, non-profit, educational and charitable organisation that is dedicated to creating peace and fostering human values.

As a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), the Foundation works in special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, participating in a variety of committees and activities relating to health, education, sustainable development, conflict resolution and disaster relief efforts.

 The Art of Living courses incorporate simple yet powerful breathing and meditation techniques, designed to relieve physical and emotional stress and improve clarity of thought.

Our programs seek to blossom the individual's full potential with emphasis on conscious holistic living and personal self-development.

Our courses and programs have enriched the lives of millions, breaking barriers of race, religion and upbringing.
 
Humanitarian Work
Tree planting in Melbourne   From emergency response & aid to long-term reconstruction & development, our volunteers work around the world to achieve lasting change.

Locally, we provide ongoing support and services to our communities. Current projects include:
  • Disaster and trauma relief
  • Educational programs
  • Tree planting and bush regeneration
  • Special programs for indigenous groups
